The Law authorizes the determination, in said Regulations, of the eligibility conditions for a parent or family member as stated. The Law also allows for establishing in Regulations rules for eligibility for a grant, compensation or benefits for a volunteer who was only injured as a result of extending such help. It will also be possible to determine in Regulations that such grants, compensation or benefits will not constitute income for certain purposes, or that receiving them will not prevent receiving another benefit. The Law will also apply to volunteers who died or were injured starting from 1 January 2018, but there will be no entitlement to payment under it for the period prior to the effective date.
