Official summary of the law (Knesset)
The Law enshrines legal assistance for the families of victims of homicide offenses, including guidance and receiving advice and assistance in exercising their rights in legal proceedings. The Law expands the list of sexual offenses for which legal assistance can be received. In addition, the Law establishes a temporary provision whereby the legal assistance provided to victims of sexual offenses and human trafficking offenses will be expanded, so that it will apply already from the investigation stage and also to civil proceedings arising from the offense.

החוק מעגן סיוע משפטי למשפחותיהם של נפגעי עבירות המתה לרבות ליווי וקבלת ייעוץ וסיוע במימוש זכויותיהם בהליכים המשפטיים. החוק מרחיב את רשימת עבירות המין שבעניינן ניתן לקבל סיוע משפטי. בנוסף, החוק קובע הוראת שעה לפיה יורחב הסיוע המשפטי הניתן לנפגעי עבירות מין ועבירות של סחר בבני אדם, כך שיחול כבר משלב החקירה וגם על הליכים אזרחיים הנובעים מהעבירה.
