The Special Adjustment Grant Law for Persons Aged 67 and Over (Temporary Provision – the New Coronavirus), 2020 (hereinafter: the Law) provides that an Israeli resident who turned 67 or older during the period between 1 March 2020 and 16 August 2020, and who was dismissed from their job or placed on unpaid leave for a period of at least 30 days during that period, and who worked as a salaried employee for at least three consecutive months beforehand, shall be entitled to an adjustment grant in varying amounts (up to 4,000) depending on their pension income, for the months of March through mid-August 2020, as long as they have not returned to work.
