Amendment No. 52 to the Knesset Law regulates the appeal procedure regarding a decision of the Knesset Committee determining that a Knesset Member has seceded from their faction. Under the amendment, a Knesset Member determined to have seceded, and their faction, will be entitled to appeal to the Supreme Court (rather than the District Court as currently set). Timeframes were also set for the procedure: the appeal shall be filed within 14 days of the decision, and the judgment shall be rendered as soon as possible and no later than 30 days from the date of filing the appeal.
