About the law and the debate

Official summary of the law (Knesset)

The Law establishes that in calculating the tax of an individual who is an Israeli resident and a parent of a child up to the age of three, six additional tax credit points in total will be taken into account for each such child. These credit points will be given in addition to the credit points already granted under the Ordinance. The Law also establishes that a special grant will be given to low-income parents who have a child who has not yet reached the age of three, thereby expanding the income range that entitles a sole parent to receive the grant for a parent of a toddler.
