Regarding the granting of a license to a school for the first time or after substantial structural changes, the arrangement requiring approval of the health authority regarding sanitation and the requirements of the Epinephrine Law will remain in place; however, regarding requests submitted from 1 May 2024 for the 2024-2025 school year onward, it was determined that if the health authority has not given its decision within two months, the Director General of the Ministry of Education may grant a temporary one-year license based on the approval of a Ministry of Education employee who has the qualifications of an environmental health worker. Regarding requests to renew a license for the 2025-2026 school year onward, it was determined that if, during the preceding 18 months, an inspection was conducted and approval was given by the health authority or by an environmental health employee that there is an adequate level in terms of sanitation and in terms of the requirements of the Epinephrine Law, the license may be renewed. If no such inspection took place, the Director General of the Ministry may renew the license for a period of one year only, based on the applicant's declaration that there is an adequate level in terms of sanitation and in terms of the requirements of the Epinephrine Law. If the previous license included special conditions regarding sanitation, these conditions will also be included in the renewed license.
