This Law extends until 31 August 2025 the transitional provision set out in Section 112(d)(1) of the Civil Service Law, 2017, which expired on 1 April 2022. The provision whose validity is being extended establishes that a body that received recognition as a recognized body prior to the effective date of the Civil Service Law, under the National Insurance Regulations (Girls in Voluntary National Service), 2002, shall be regarded as a body recognized under Section 48 of the Law even if it does not meet the conditions of that section. This amendment is required because the regulations under Section 48, which will establish the conditions for recognizing a body as a recognized body, have not yet been completed, in order to preserve the continuity of the activity of the recognized bodies currently operating and to prevent harm to the rights of volunteers.
