The Public Bodies Transactions Law (Amendment No. 11), 2016, establishes that a supplier seeking to contract with a public body will be required to declare, if it employs more than 25 employees, that it fulfills its obligations under Section 9 of the Equal Rights for Persons with Disabilities Law, 1998, which establishes, among other things, obligations to act for the representation of persons with disabilities, including making the adjustments required for this purpose. It is further established that a supplier employing more than 100 employees will additionally be required to contact the Ministry of Labor, Welfare and Social Services in order to examine the implementation of its established obligations, and to declare its commitment to do so. If it previously committed to act in this manner, it will be required to declare that it indeed made contact as required and acted to implement the guidelines. In addition, it is established that the Director General of the Ministry of Labor, Welfare and Social Services will publish on its website a list of suppliers who made contact as described above, and that the Minister of Labor will report to the Constitution, Law and Justice Committee on the contacts received, as described.
