The Law provides that a person with a life-shortening disability shall be entitled to receive a housing loan from a financial entity in an amount not exceeding 1 million new shekels, if he is a person with a life-shortening disability who has purchased life insurance for a person with a life-shortening disability for the purpose of a housing loan, and the insurance coverage in this regard shall not exceed 500,000 new shekels. A person with a life-shortening disability is a person whom an appointed actuary has determined to have a disability that shortens the average life expectancy by more than 3 years and whose life expectancy as a person with the disability exceeds 5 years. A person with a life-shortening disability who has purchased insurance for a person with a life-shortening disability shall be entitled to state assistance in the amount of 300 new shekels for as long as he pays the premium of the aforesaid life insurance.
