Official summary of the law (Knesset)

The Law provides that if it comes to the knowledge of a caregiver, such as a doctor, nurse or psychologist, that a parent has been convicted of committing a sexual or violent offense against their minor child, or that an indictment has been filed against the parent for committing such an offense and the criminal proceeding against them is still ongoing, that parent's consent will not be required for medical treatment of that child, and no information regarding medical treatment of that child will be provided to that parent. The Family Court may, at the parent's request, order otherwise, if it finds that special circumstances exist justifying this, and that doing so would not harm the child's best interests.
