This Law establishes that a center will be established to commemorate the memory of David Levy, a social and political leader who contributed greatly to the advancement of the periphery, to the reduction of disparities, and to the advancement of foreign relations. The center will promote social and political research, deepen familiarity with David Levy's work, and reflect his personality; the center will be a statutory corporation with a public council of 13 members. It will include a memorial site, a research institute, and an archive; the establishment and operation of the center will be funded from the state budget, and from donations and income received by the center. The amount of state participation in the center's budget will not exceed 2.5 million NIS in the first two years, and in the third year will not exceed 5 million NIS. The Minister of Foreign Affairs is charged with the implementation of the Law.
