The Law to Amend the Prisons Ordinance (Amendment No. 61 and Temporary Provision), 2023 was approved in second and third reading on 8 February 2023. The Law extends the temporary provision establishing extended periods of administrative release, until 31 July 2023. In addition, it was established that during this period the incarceration standard, which is the number of prisoners beyond which administrative releases may begin, will stand at 14,500.
