Official summary of the law (Knesset)
Until the enactment of this Law, any member of a local planning and building committee (hereinafter - local committee) or a representative with advisory status on it could demand that a discussion be held in the plenary session of the local committee on a matter discussed in the subcommittee of that local committee. This Law establishes that the discussion shall be transferred to the plenary session of the local committee as stated, only if at least two members of the local committee demanded it, or alternatively a representative with advisory status. It is further proposed that in a district committee, a local authority representative who is its sole representative on that committee may demand a discussion in the plenary session of the district committee.
