Official summary of the law (Knesset)
The Law clarifies that the provisions for enhanced punishment for acts of terror apply to sex offenses, and also applies the provisions for enhanced punishment for an offense motivated by racism or hostility toward the public, as defined in the Penal Law, to sexual harassment offenses. In addition, the court may award double the compensation set by law for sexual harassment offenses committed with a motive of racism or hostility toward the public. Alongside this, an annual reporting obligation to the Knesset's National Security Committee was established regarding the number of indictments filed and the number of investigation files opened for sex offenses and sexual harassment offenses committed with a motive of racism or hostility toward the public, or that constitute an act of terror.
