נקבע כי תקופת ההתיישנות לעניין תביעה לפי חוק הגנה על עובדים (חשיפת עבירות ופגיעה בטוהר המידות או במינהל התקין) תוארך מ-12 חודשים ל-3 שנים מבלי להחשיב בפרק זמן זה את התקופה שבין מועד הגשת תלונה לנציב תלונות הציבור בשל חשיפת שחיתות ועד לסיום בירורה, ובלבד שלא תעלה על שנתיים. עוד נקבע כי היפוך נטל ההוכחה בתביעה מכוח החוק יחול בכל מקרה שבו לא חלפו יותר משנתיים ממועד הגשת התלונה שבה נחשפה השחיתות ועד למועד הפגיעה בעובד על ידי המעסיק.
