The Law requires a dealer to prominently mark the country of production of agricultural produce that is not packaged at the time it is offered for sale, or agricultural produce that is packaged at the place where it is sold or marketed to the consumer, adjacent to such agricultural produce. The marking obligation shall apply to fresh fruits and vegetables, dairy products, and fresh meat (poultry, meat, and fish), except for such fresh meat marketed online. The Law also establishes that the Minister of Economy and Industry, with the approval of the Knesset Economic Affairs Committee, may determine in regulations that the marking obligation shall not apply to online marketing of types of agricultural produce as he shall determine.
