The insurer must also notify of the end of the limitation period 12 months before the end of the period and again 3 months before the end of the period, and in these notices the insurer shall explain to the insured the significance of the end of the limitation period, even if negotiations are ongoing between them. This law will apply to insurance contracts entered into or renewed from its effective date onward.
