Official summary of the law (Knesset)
The Law establishes that a person who has reached retirement age and has filed a claim to receive an income support benefit, and it is found that they met the eligibility conditions due to their age even before filing the claim, will also be able to receive retroactive payment of the benefit for a period of no more than 12 months before filing the claim; however, the retroactive payment will not entitle them, for the retroactive period, to other benefits under law given to those eligible for an income support benefit. The Law applies to claims for an income benefit filed from the date of publication of the Law onward.
