This Law establishes, as a temporary provision for five years, a requirement to appoint a safety assistant at certain construction sites. The role of the safety assistant is to check compliance with safety requirements at the construction site, to report to the work manager on violations of safety requirements, and to notify an employee of safety violations relating to his work. The Law also establishes provisions regarding the correction of deficiencies reported by the safety assistant.
