The First Aid Instruction in Schools Law (Amendment), 2018, was passed by the Knesset on 6 March 2018. The Law determines that any holder in possession of a school attended by more than 500 students shall place at least one resuscitation device in a central and accessible location in the school, and shall ensure that the school has at least one first aid kit. The Law further determines that a holder who has not placed a resuscitation device in a school or has not ensured its proper functioning in accordance with the provisions of the Law is liable to a fine.

חוק לימוד עזרה ראשונה בבתי ספר (תיקון), התשע"ח-2018, התקבל בכנסת ביום י"ט באדר התשע"ח (6 במרס 2018). בחוק נקבע כי כל מחזיק שבהחזקתו בית ספר שלומדים בו מעל 500 תלמידים, יציב מכשיר החייאה אחד לפחות במקום מרכזי ונגיש בבית הספר, וידאג לכך שבבית הספר תהיה ערכת עזרה ראשונה אחת לפחות. עוד נקבע בחוק כי מחזיק שלא הציב בבית ספר מכשיר החייאה או שלא דאג לתקינותו בהתאם להוראות החוק, דינו קנס.
