It was determined that the director of a medical institution shall not employ a person to carry out various actions in a medical gas system unless that person meets the qualification conditions detailed in the addendum, or he works under the supervision and guidance of someone who meets the qualification conditions. The qualification conditions include requirements of education, completion of a training program on behalf of the Ministry of Health, practical experience, and basic knowledge of the Hebrew language, and they vary according to the type of occupation in the medical gas system in question - maintenance person, installer, supervisor, or inspecting engineer. A person who accumulated 5 years of practical experience working with a medical gas system by 1 July 2024 may serve as an installer or supervisor - even if he did not meet the other qualification conditions, and for a maintenance person, three years of such experience will be required. In order to allow people to complete training programs that are a qualification condition for the occupation, it is proposed that until 31 December 2024, the director of a medical institution may employ a person as a maintenance person, supervisor or installer - even if he has not completed a training program, and regarding an inspecting engineer, whose training program is the longest, until 1 July 2025.
