Official summary of the law (Knesset)

The Names Law (Amendment No. 8), 2018 provides that a person convicted of committing a sexual offense while an adult will not be permitted to change his name. Such a change will be permitted only if the Minister of the Interior is convinced that the change will not mislead the public or harm public policy.
