חוק לביטול פקודת העתונות , התשע"ז–2017 (להלן – החוק), התקבל בקריאה השנייה והשלישית ביום ד' בסיון התשע"ז (29 במאי 2017). החוק קובע כי פקודת העתונות בטלה. בנוסף, במסגרת החוק תוקנו בהתאמה סעיפים בחוקים שונים שכללו הפניה להוראות פקודת העתונות המבוטלת.
