The Day of Liberation and Rescue from Nazi Germany Law was enacted to establish an annual day marking the liberation of the Jewish people from the Nazi oppressor following the surrender of Nazi Germany. Under the law, every year on the 26th of Iyar a day shall be observed to mark the liberation from Nazi Germany.
