- 16 July 2026 · Third readingLaw passedהצעת חוק שירות ביטחון (תיקון מס' 29 - הוראת שעה), התשפ"ו-2026Security Service Bill (Amendment No. 29 - temporary provision), 2026auto43 for · 12 against · 1 abst. · 56 of 120 votedCoalition 43:0 · Opposition 0:12Supporters saidautoThe IDF immediately needs a significant increase in manpower in light of the prolonged fighting situation and the burden on those serving, and therefore extending mandatory service is a necessary step, even if not ideal, alongside expanding the circle of those serving in the future.Speakers who made this point: 5Opponents saidautoIt is unjustifiable to impose an additional burden on those who already serve, while in the same week and by the same coalition, legislation is being advanced that grants exemption from arrest and immunity to Haredi draft evaders, creating discrimination between 'blood and blood' and two classes of citizens.Speakers who made this point: 3356 members spoke · 443 reservations
- 16 July 2026 · Third readingLaw passedהצעת חוק הרשות השנייה לטלוויזיה ורדיו (תיקון מס' 50), התשפ"ו–2026 (פ/4505/25)Second Authority for Television and Radio Bill (Amendment No. 50), 2026 (P/4505/25)auto31 for · 17 against · 48 of 120 votedCoalition 28:0 · Opposition 3:17Supporters saidautoThe law will allow sectoral stations (Arab, Haredi, Russian, and others) to reach their target audiences throughout the country, including areas not currently covered, such as the Negev and the North.Speakers who made this point: 3Opponents saidautoThis is another step in the minister's broader effort to harm and privatize public broadcasting, under the guise of slogans about fighting monopolies while creating new monopolies in the hands of affiliated capital owners.Speakers who made this point: 229 members spoke · 646 reservations
- 16 July 2026 · Third readingLaw passedהצעת חוק הבחירות לכנסת העשרים ושש (הוראות מיוחדות ותיקוני חקיקה), התשפ"ו-2026Elections to the Twenty-Sixth Knesset Bill (Special Provisions and legislative amendments), 2026auto23 for · 6 against · 29 of 120 votedCoalition 23:0 · Opposition 0:6Supporters saidautoThe bill includes essential and necessary arrangements for holding the elections at the present time, including a voting arrangement for evacuees whose homes were damaged or who left combat zones, and therefore opposition to the law directly harms this population.Speakers who made this point: 1Opponents saidautoPreventing polling stations in nursing homes and assisted living facilities harms the voting right of tens of thousands of elderly people, including Holocaust survivors and elderly people without family, who will not be able to exercise their right to vote, perhaps for the last time in their lives.Speakers who made this point: 516 members spoke
- 16 July 2026 · Third readingLaw passedהצעת חוק התקשורת (שידורים), התשפ"ו-2026Communications (Broadcasting) Bill, 2026auto53 for · 48 against · 2 abst. · 103 of 120 votedCoalition 52:0 · Opposition 1:48Supporters saidautoThe law repeals outdated and centralized regulation and returns the power of choice to the viewing public, enabling real competition, opening the market to new channels, and lowering prices for consumers.Speakers who made this point: 2Opponents saidautoThis is a political takeover of the media market intended to grant economic and regulatory benefits to channels that support the government, led by Channel 14, while the new regulator would be subordinate to the Minister of Communications.Speakers who made this point: 943 members spoke
- 16 July 2026 · Third readingLaw passedהצעת חוק זכויות הסטודנט (תיקון מס' 12), התשפ"ו–2026Student Rights Bill (Amendment No. 12), 2026auto52 for · 43 against · 95 of 120 votedCoalition 50:0 · Opposition 2:43Supporters saidautoThe law only allows institutions, at their discretion, to open separate tracks at students' request, and does not impose separation on anyone.Speakers who made this point: 3Opponents saidautoThe law primarily harms women: it will lead to social and communal pressure on women to study only in separate tracks, will narrow the range of professions and lecturers available to them, and will designate inferior professions for them.Speakers who made this point: 742 members spoke · 600 reservations

- 14 July 2026 · Third readingLaw passedחוק שירות ביטחון (תיקון מס' 28 - הוראת שעה), התשפ"ו-2026Security Service Law (Amendment No. 28 – temporary provision), 2026auto58 for · 54 against · 112 of 120 votedCoalition 57:4 · Opposition 1:50Supporters saidautoTorah study is a central and supreme value for the survival and identity of the Jewish people, and therefore Torah students must be protected rather than subjected to forced conscription or criminal punishment.Speakers who made this point: 10Opponents saidautoThe Law grants immunity and exemption from arrest and enforcement to those who do not enlist, thereby incentivizing non-enlistment for service and harming the army's ability to recruit manpower, as the Chief of Staff warned in his letter.Speakers who made this point: 1973 members spoke · 1,754 reservations
